TinLids Kids Photography was set up by portrait photographer Ruth Crafer in 2008. Ruth has been an established portrait photographer for many years, shooting actors, comedians, writers etc.
After beginning her training with London catwalk photographer Niall McInerney she moved on to an 8 year position as first assistant to high profile portraitist Trevor Leighton. Her training was firmly routed in the traditional disciplines of classic photography assisting Trevor in printing a substantial amount of his work, much of which can be seen hanging in the National Portrait Gallery.
However, after the birth of her daughter, Ruth found herself getting more and more requests from people requiring portraits of children, both in a domestic and educational environment.
She has a natural affinity with children and has yet to find a subject who is unwilling to join in the fun of a shoot.
She has shared use of a versatile studio in Highbury, London N5 and is also happy to travel to client's homes.

The session can take place either at my studio in Highbury, this has both standard and daylight spaces available, I am also happy to travel to client's homes if a more candid approach is required.

Print-Ready Digital Files
If you would prefer the freedom to produce your own prints, I offer the option of buying the complete set of processed digital files of the pictures which will be sent to you one week after your portrait session. These files will be processed to the same high standard and will be ready to send to a lab or for you to produce your own prints at home. Print-ready files on c.d.
