Page design – colour
There are any number of websites devoted to creating a pleasing colour scheme, and it pays to spend some time planning the colours for your LayerSpace.
To start with, it is a good idea to set one of the Preset themes in your configuration for your Space. You can then start to tinker to see what effect different colours have.
As a general rule I would advise you to use very few colours if you are displaying photographs, especially colour photographs. Personally I prefer white backgrounds, but you may prefer black or grey or a subtle colour. If you are using a colour other than white, it usually looks better if you add a border around the image using a shade of the background colour. For some reason an image placed against grey tends to disappear into the background unless it has an outline.
Once you have your background sorted, set the text and link colours accordingly to complementary colours. The highlight link colour can be a bit wilder if you like as it is only seen when your mouse hovers over a link.
